BSEB has said that OFSS candidates whose names did not appear in the three merit lists or who could not take admission due to personal reasons can directly apply to the colleges for the Seat Vacancy Details – Stream Wise. Forms will be filed in the respective colleges between 4 August 2025 to 5 August 2025.

Candidates who have not registered themselves in OFSS can apply for admission before 11 August 2025 by registering on www.ofssbihar.net.

According to BSEB chairman Anand Kishore, colleges have been asked to release the list of selected students and the waiting list by 6 August 2025 and the admission process will begin between 6 September 2025 to 10 August 2025.

“College principals were first asked to assess the number of left BSEB Inter Vacant Seats Check after students take admission based on the first merit list released by the BSEB on July 8, 2025,”.

Kishore said that BSEB will release the list of colleges in various streams and the number of vacant seats with them on the OFSS website on 6 August 2025.

Candidates can select the college of their choice and reapply for admission to the college without paying any amount. New candidates who register between 4 August 2025 and 5 August 2025 can also apply directly to the college of their choice.

Spot Admission Vacant Seats

Admissions will be done in all government schools. BSEB has announced dates for admission based on the spot merit list.

According to a BSEB Patna official, around 17 lakh students had applied through OFSS. Of these, around 10 lakh students managed to make it to the first merit list released on June 4, 2025, while the names of 4 lakh and 3 lakh students were included in the second merit merit and third merit lists respectively.
