CTET December 2024 Notification Out has been released by CBSE on its official website ctet.nic.in. The online registration process has started and interested and eligible candidates can apply online on or before 16 October 2024.
CBSE has started applications for CTET in December 2024. All the candidates who want to fill out the form for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be able to fill the form easily. You will get all the information about how to fill out the form further. Before filling out the form, do see the official notification. Interested and eligible candidates must fill out this form.
CTET December Exam 2024 Apply Online
- Visit the official website https://ctet.nic.in.
- Next, please go to “Apply Online” and open it.
- Now fill out the online application form and note down the registration number/application number.
- Now, you have to upload the latest scanned photograph and signature.
- Pay the examination fee by debit/credit card and net banking.
- Print the confirmation page for record and future reference.
Applications for the CTET exam 2024 will be accepted through the online portal of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) as follows.

The CTET application form fee for General/OBC (NCL) categories who wish to appear in a single paper is Rs 1000. Those who wish to appear in both the papers will have to pay Rs 1200. Those who belong to SC/ST/PWD categories will have to pay Rs 550 for one paper and Rs 600 for both the papers.
Eligibility Criteria for CTET December 2024

CTET Eligibility for Paper I to V (Preliminary Stage)
- 12th (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- 12th (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 norms OR
- 12th (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
- 12th (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- Graduation with 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of 1-year B.Ed examination.
CTET Eligibility for Paper VI to VIII (Secondary Stage)
- Bachelor’s Degree and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) as per NCTE norms OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the
- final year of 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 1-year B.Ed. / (B.Ed Special Education)
CTET Syllabus 2024
- Syllabus for CTET Paper-I: It includes the subjects of Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I & II, Mathematics, and Environmental Science.
- Syllabus for CTET Paper-II: It includes the subjects of Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I & II, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Candidates have to choose either Maths/Science or Social Studies as per their respective subjects.
CBSE has released the revised CTET syllabus. While preparing to attempt the upcoming CTET, the detailed syllabus is the first and foremost step for a candidate. The syllabus is lengthy and revolves around child development and pedagogy which is one of the most important sections of the CTET exam.
Other sections that will be asked in CTET 2024 include Mathematics, Science/Environmental Science, and Languages. Apart from these, the candidate must be prepared with any 2 languages (from the list mentioned in the notification).

The board has released the CTET December exam dates and exam timings. Candidates can use the CTET online application link to apply and appear for the exam. Candidates who qualify for the exam are eligible for Primary Teacher and Upper Primary Teacher posts.
The CTET exam will be conducted on December 01, 2024 in two shifts for both papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2).

After passing the CTET 2024 exam, candidates will be eligible to apply for teaching jobs for classes 1 to 8 in central government schools like NVS/KVS and other schools etc. The basic salary of CTET qualified teachers ranges from Rs 9300 to Rs 34800. The net in-hand salary of a CTET-qualified teacher ranges from Rs 35000 to Rs 50000 per month.

Paper 1 will be conducted from 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM while Paper 2 will be conducted from 02:30 PM to 05:00 PM. If there are more candidates in a city, the exam can also be conducted on November 30, 2024.

- Now, click on CTET December Application Form 2024
- Read the instructions and then click on the tick box agreeing to all the details
- Fill the CTET December 2024 registration form with personal details (candidate’s name, parent’s name, date of birth, and gender), contact details, password, and security question and answer
- Now, enter the security pin of CTET December online form 2024 and click on the submit button
- Go to the next page and fill out the CTET application form 2024 with the required details
- Candidates have to enter the details on the CTET online form 2024, which includes the candidate’s name, date of birth, parent’s name, PwD, Language I, Language II, Qualifying exam, and exam center options
- Finally, click on the I Accept button, submit it, and move to the next page
- Upload relevant documents, signatures and photo in scanned format on the dashboard
- Choose any online payment method, debit card, credit card, and Other payment options.
- Pay the CTET application fee using the card, credit card, and net banking
