- Step 1: First of all, you have to go to the official home page of the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal. For that, you can visit this website https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in/depositor/#/home.
Note: Remember that you do not have to go to the Resubmission page of CRCS Sahara Refund Portal; you have to go to the home of Vas Simple Portal. So as soon as you go to the website, read the instructions shown by the portal carefully and proceed further.
- Step 2: Now on the same home page, a menu will appear on the top. First of all, you will see an option of ‘Depositor Registration’, click on it.
- Step 3: As soon as you click, you will be redirected to another new page. On this page, you have to enter the information asked to complete the registration process.

- On this page, you have to input the remaining four digits of your Aadhaar in the first box.
- After that, you have to enter the mobile number linked with the Aadhaar card in the next empty box.
- After that, you have to enter the captcha code and click on ‘Get OTP’.
- Now you will have received an OTP from the portal on your mobile number. Verify it by inputting it on the portal, then your registration process on Sahara Refund Portal will be completed.

- Step 1: First of all, you have to go to Sahara Refund Portal. After that, you have to go to the Depositor home page.
- Step 2: On the Depositor home page, in the menu area, you will find a button labeled ‘Depositor Login’; click on it.
- Step 3: After that, a new page will appear in front of you. Fill in the information asked on that page and log in.
- Step 4: Now enter the last four digits of the Aadhaar card number which you had given at the time of registration.
- Step 5: In the next field, enter the mobile number linked to the Aadhaar input.
- Step 6: After that, fill the captcha in the blank space and click on ‘Get OTP’.
- Step 7: Now you will get an OTP from the portal; enter it and confirm.
- Step 8: After confirming the OTP, your account will be logged in and now you can do all the further activities.

- Step 1: In the first step, you have to login to the Shara Refund portal.
- Step 2: After logging in, a page will open for your details, which will already be filled by the portal with your Aadhaar.
- Step 3: After that, you have to enter your email ID at the bottom of this page and click on the Next button.
- Step 4: On the next page, you have to provide the details of your claim. Which will be in your Sahara investment certificate.
- The details that you have to fill are-
- First of all, you have to fill the name of Sahara Society, in which society you invested the money.
- Next, you have to enter your ‘Membership Number’.
- After that, you have to give your account number which will be in the Sahara certificate.
- In the next step, you have to enter the ‘Receipt Number’.
- Now give the number of your Sahara ‘Certificate/Passbook’.
- After that, enter the ‘Account Opening Date’ in Sahara.
- After entering the date, you have to enter the amount of your ‘Deposit’ total amount.
- Now you will be asked whether you have received any ‘Payment’ or not. If you have received any payment, then enter the amount of that amount.
- In the next, you will be asked whether you have taken any loan from the society. If you have taken a loan, then enter its amount as well.
- At last, you will be asked to upload your Sahara Certificate, You have to upload that certificate.
- Note: You will have to upload your certificate in PDF or Image (png, jpg, jpeg, jpg2) format only. And the size of your document should be less than 200kb.
- Step 5: After that, you just click on ‘Add Claim’.
- Step 6: Now the preview of the document uploaded by you will be shown at the bottom, check it.
- Note: If you have more than one certificate, then you have to upload all the certificates in the manner mentioned above.
- Step 7: Now click on Next at the bottom of the same page.
- Step 8: Your Claim Form will open on the next page. You have to print the same form. Therefore, on the top side you will find a button in orange color ‘Generate Claim Request Form’, click on it.
- Step 9: After clicking, your Claim Form will be generated and ready. And on the die, you will get the option of print, click there and print the form.
- Now you have to prepare this form by getting the photograph and signature of the Depositor.
- Step 10: After preparing the form completely, scan it and make a PDF, because the form will have to be uploaded on the portal again.
- Step 11: Now on the same page from which you printed the form, you will find the ‘Next’ button at the bottom, click on it.
- Step 12: On the next page, you have to upload the signed form.
- Step 13: After uploading, you will see your form for preview on the same page, check it once.
- Step 14: If the amount deposited by the investors is more than Rs.50,000/-, then the investors will have to scan their PAN Number and copy of PAN Card and upload it.
- Step 15: After that, the message ‘Upload Successful’ will appear on your screen. Now click on Next and proceed.
- Step 16: In the next screen, you will see a message ‘Thank You,’ and with that your claim will be successfully submitted.
Amit Shah in his assurance said that the refund amount to the claimants will be credited to their bank accounts within 45 days. This means that the process of refunding the claimed money should be completed within 45 days from the date of submission of the claim request and all the required documents.
Documents Required
- Deposit Account Number: Unique account number provided by Sahara for the amount deposited.
- Membership Number: Membership number provided by Sahara cooperatives for identification purposes.
- Mobile Number Linked to Aadhaar (Mandatory): The mobile number that is linked to your Aadhaar card, as it is a mandatory requirement for the refund process.
- Certificate of Deposit/Passbook: Official document or passbook showing the details of your deposits with Sahara.
- PAN Card (if the claim amount is more than Rs 50,000): If the refund amount is more than Rs 50,000, a PAN card is required for verification and tax purposes.

Who is Eligible to Get the Refund
- One crore investors who have deposited ₹10,000 or more are eligible for the first payment of up to ₹10,000.
- Depositors who deposited before March 22, 2022, in Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Ltd, Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Ltd, and Hamara India Credit Cooperative Society Ltd will be eligible for a refund.
- After the payment of ₹5,000 crore, another appeal will be made to refund it to other depositors in Sahara cooperative societies.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday launched the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal, aimed at helping over 100 million depositors of Sahara Group cooperatives get their money back within nine months. “The process of refunding money of depositors stuck in four cooperative societies of the Sahara Group has started with the launch of the Sahara Refund Portal,” Shah said.
The portal has been developed for the submission of legitimate claims by genuine depositors of Sahara Group cooperatives, namely Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Ltd, Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Ltd, Hamara India Credit Cooperative Society Ltd, and Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd, the cooperative ministry said in a statement.
