The provisional list of shortlisted/waitlisted candidates for Class 1 was posted on March 25 and for Balvatika on March 26. The second list will be posted on April 2 and the third list on April 7, 2025.
After this, the next step in the KVS admission process for 2025-26 will include the publication of the final list of names of registered candidates on the notice board of the respective schools, as well as on the official school website. After this, a ‘Draw of Lots’ event is organized to select candidates for Class 1, Balvatika-1 and Balvatika-3.
The headquarters of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has recently announced the admission process for Class 1 and Balvatika 1 & 3 for the academic year 2025-26. The initial phase of the online registration process started on March 7, 2025 through a nationwide single-window portal.
KVS Admission 2025-26 Online Lottery Results
Step 1: Visit the official website of the KV school to which your child has applied.
Step 2: Go to the home page and find the ‘What’s New’ tab, then click on the ‘View All’ link.
Step 3: Look for the announcement regarding the date and time of the lottery draw for the Class 1 and Balvatika classes.
Step 4: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the ‘YouTube’ link titled ‘Follow Us On’.
Step 5: On the specified date and time, click on the YouTube link to watch the live session showing the results.
Step 6: That evening, you can also check the complete list of selected candidates and waitlisted candidates on the notice board of the KV school.
Step 7: The next day, the results will be available on the website of the respective KV school in PDF format.
Step 8: Finally, you can check the comprehensive results for all categories on the official KVS website, education.gov.in.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2025-26 for Class 1 Merit List
As per the KVS guidelines for the academic year 2025-26, each Kendriya Vidyalaya is required to allocate 10 seats (out of a total of 40) to each section in Class 1 as per the provisions of the Right to Education (RTE) Act, with 25% of the seats being reserved.
These seats will be filled through a ‘Draw of Lots’ system, which will consist of applications from candidates belonging to SC, ST, EWS, BPL and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) categories, all of whom should be residents of the neighbourhood and include persons with disabilities. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has developed an online lottery software, and the list of eligible candidates in all categories has been uploaded.
By clicking on the ‘Create RTE Lottery‘ button, the software will randomly generate the selection list, and the results will be displayed on the screen immediately. The list will now contain the ‘Application Submission Code’, serial number, and name.

KVS Lottery Results for 2025-26
The management of the Kendriya Vidyalaya will constitute a committee of five members to monitor the process of draw of lots for Class 1 or any other applicable class (for offline mode only) where the number of candidates from a particular category exceeds the number of seats available.
The Principal of the concerned Kendriya Vidyalaya will act as the coordinator of the draw of lots process.
KVS Admission 2025-26 Lottery Results
The lottery results for KVS Admission 2025-26 will be published as per the schedule given by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. The lottery draw for Class 1 is scheduled on March 25, 2025 (Tuesday) at 10 am, while for Balvatika Class 1 and 3, the event will be held on March 26, 2025 (Wednesday) at 10 am.

KVS Admission Lottery Results
The lottery draw will be held both online and offline on March 25 and 26, 2025 to select candidates for Class 1 and Balvatika 1 and 3 in Kendriya Vidyalayas. The event will be organized by the designated authority in the premises of the respective KV schools.
The entire lottery draw will be live streamed on the YouTube channel of the respective KV school, allowing parents to view the selection process on their mobile device. Additionally, the RTE category results will be displayed on the school notice board.

How to Apply for KVS Admission 2025 Online?
Step 1: Visit the official KVS website.
Step 2: Click on the KVS Admission 2025 notification on the homepage.
Step 3: Open the PDF file to get the registration link for Balvatika 1 & 3 and Class 1.
Step 4: Click on the appropriate link to go to the registration page.
Step 5: Fill the online registration and login to the account.
Step 6: Fill the application form and pay the required fee.
Step 7: Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
Step 8: Keep a hard copy for reference.
No admission fee will be charged for children admitted in the 25 per cent quota prescribed by the Right to Education (RTE) Act 2009.
